Job Description

Gejits Infotech Inc is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our State Client to serve as a liaison between business users, technical teams, vendors, and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, supporting Oracle and SQL-related projects, producing technical documentation, facilitating stakeholder meetings, and testing applications, reports, dashboards, and large data sets.

This role requires a highly organized professional who can work in a complex program environment, support large-scale implementation projects, and help ensure that business needs are translated into accurate, complete, and approved technical solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must clearly demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements related to Oracle and SQL.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience producing technical documentation, including requirements, specifications, traceability matrices, designs, and testing documentation.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience producing meeting documentation, analysis documentation, and training materials.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience testing custom applications, off-the-shelf applications, reports, dashboards, or large data sets.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience facilitating business and technical analysis meetings.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing web applications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Team Foundation Server, TFS, and Visual Studio .NET.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with governance, project management, or project portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale, high-profile implementation projects involving multiple technologies, multiple business functions, and multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working with software and hardware vendors.
  • Experience working on projects in a program environment involving multiple interrelated and coordinated projects led by a Program Manager or Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between the business unit and IT organization to identify and deliver technical solutions that meet user needs.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Ensure system documentation and user documentation are accurate, complete, reviewed, and approved.
  • Identify commonalities in business models and evaluate new requirements imposed by law, regulation, policy, or business needs.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between customers, business teams, technical staff, vendors, and management.
  • Support the development of project deliverables, including requirements documentation, specifications, traceability matrices, testing documentation, meeting notes, analysis documents, and training materials.
  • Work closely with management, project managers, technical teams, and end users to ensure applications meet scope requirements and project management guidelines.
  • Assist internal and external resources in achieving business solutions within established project guidelines.
  • Identify and help remove obstacles that may impact solution plans, business goals, or implementation activities.
  • Support application testing, report testing, dashboard testing, and validation of large data sets.
  • Collaborate with vendors and stakeholder groups with diverse and competing needs.
