Job Description



A hedge fund focused on structured credit is seeking a Portfolio & Trade Review Analyst in New York, NY. This role supports trade review, compliance surveillance, and documentation analysis across a fast-paced investment management environment.


About the Opportunity:


Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday through Thursday onsite, Friday remote
Hours: Standard business hours
Setting: Hybrid

Responsibilities:



  • Perform daily trade and portfolio reviews across investment strategies.

  • Analyze trades to ensure they are booked in the correct funds, structures, and investment vehicles.

  • Review legal documents, compliance materials, and investment-related documentation for accuracy and alignment with internal requirements.

  • Investigate system-generated alerts related to fund structure requirements, investor concentration limits, portfolio allocation thresholds, and trading guideline exceptions.

  • Partner closely with Portfolio Managers, Investor Relations, Compliance, and Operations to support trade review, employee personal trading, and email surveillance processes.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials.

  • 1 to 2 years of related experience in portfolio compliance, trade surveillance, investment compliance, trade review, asset management operations, or regulatory compliance within investment management.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or another programming language such as Python or R.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation review skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and identify, analyze, and resolve issues.


Desired Skills:



  • Experience with fixed income, structured credit, mortgage-backed securities, loans, or related products.

  • Exposure to hedge fund, asset management, or investment management environments.

  • Familiarity with financial databases, compliance systems, or trade surveillance tools.

  • Interest in financial markets.
