We are currently recruiting for an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to join a growing service team covering customers and equipment throughout the M25 and surrounding areas.
This is a field-based position offering excellent variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work across a wide range of commercial refrigeration systems. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive service, maintenance and repair work, providing a professional service to customers across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out reactive repairs and planned maintenance on commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults on cold rooms, display cabinets, chillers, freezers and associated refrigeration systems.
- Work safely and in accordance with current F-Gas and health & safety regulations.
- Complete accurate service reports and job records using digital systems.
- Liaise directly with customers, providing a professional and efficient service.
- Identify faults and recommend appropriate remedial works where required.
- Participate in a 1-in-5 on-call rota, attending emergency breakdowns when required.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment to a high standard.
- Travel throughout the M25 and surrounding areas as required.
- Overtime paid at 1.5x after 42.5 hours per week.
- Double time on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
- 1-in-5 on-call rota with additional payments for emergency call-outs.
- Door-to-door travel paid.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working as a Refrigeration Service Engineer, ideally within a commercial or retail refrigeration environment.
You will ideally have:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent.
- F-Gas / Safe Handling of Refrigerants qualification.
- R290 qualification.
- CO2 refrigeration experience/qualification.
- CSCS qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- A flexible approach to travel and out-of-hours call-outs.
