Location: Derbyshire - Fully Onsite
Contract Length: Initial 6-12 Months - Longer-Term Potential
Day Rate: Flexible / Negotiable DOE
Security Clearance: Current SC or DV Required

We're working with an established UK technology and engineering business delivering complex systems and solutions for customers operating within highly regulated and secure environments.

Following continued project demand, they're looking to bring in a number of experienced contractors across Embedded Software, FPGA and Electronics / Hardware Engineering.

These are initial 6-12 month assignments, with potential for longer-term work based on ongoing project requirements and deliverables.

We're particularly interested in experienced engineers who can join projects and contribute quickly within complex, high-integrity engineering environments.

What You'll Do

Depending on your area of expertise and individual project, responsibilities could include:

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software for complex engineering systems.
• Develop low-level software using C / C++ within embedded environments.
• Design and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL / Verilog.
• Design, develop and debug digital and electronic hardware.
• Work across the engineering lifecycle from requirements and design through to integration, verification and test.
• Develop solutions for high-integrity and secure environments.
• Debug and resolve complex software, FPGA and hardware issues.
• Produce appropriate technical and engineering documentation.
• Work alongside multidisciplinary Software, FPGA, Hardware, Systems and Test teams.
• Contribute to defined project requirements, milestones and engineering deliverables.

Skills & Experience

We're interested in speaking with contractors with experience across one or more of the following:

• Embedded C / C++
• RTOS and/or bare-metal development
• ARM / STM32
• FPGA design and development
• VHDL / Verilog
• Digital electronics
• Electronic hardware design and development
• PCB design, development and debugging
• Ethernet / TCP/IP
• SPI, I2C, UART and CAN
• JTAG and embedded debugging
• Verification, validation and test
• MISRA / CERT C
• Static analysis tools
• High-integrity or safety-critical engineering

Previous experience within Defence, Aerospace, National Security or other highly regulated engineering environments would be particularly relevant.

Security Clearance - To be considered you must already hold current SC or DV Security Clearance. Due to the secure nature of these projects, we are unable to consider contractors who do not currently hold the required level of clearance.
