Full-time Role: Data Engineer (Onsite)

Location: Princeton NJ/ Detroit, MI

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business teams to ensure reliable and high-quality data.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
Build and optimize data processing workflows for large datasets.
Develop data solutions using Python, SQL, and cloud technologies.
Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
Design and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and databases.
Perform data transformation, cleansing, validation, and quality checks.
Optimize SQL queries and data-processing jobs for performance.
Implement data integration solutions using APIs, files, databases, and streaming platforms.
Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data-related issues.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, BI teams, and application developers.
Implement data security, governance, and access-control best practices.
Create and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines and architectures.

Required Skills

6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
Strong experience with Python and SQL.
Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience with Airflow, Databricks, or similar orchestration/data platforms.
Strong understanding of data modeling and database concepts.
Experience with Git and CI/CD.
Good understanding of data quality, governance, and security.
