Job Title: Curriculum & Instructional Designer
Location:  Albany, NY (Hybrid)
Duration: 30 Months (with potential for extension)
W2 Hourly Rate: $50-60/hour

Overview:

We are seeking a Curriculum & Instructional Designer who will support our NYS client.

This role will lead the creation of engaging, accessible, and outcomes-based training content supporting adoption of new systems and business processes across the Integrated Eligibility System (IES) Program. The resource will develop and deliver learning across online, on-demand, and live formats for state and local users, partnering with subject matter experts, project leaders, and change management teams.

Duties:

• Design and develop instructional materials using adult learning principles and instructional design models such as ADDIE and Bloom's Taxonomy.

• Manage instructional design projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with program objectives.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content, validate instructional materials, and ensure alignment with learning objectives.

• Create SCORM-compliant eLearning modules, on-demand video content, interactive guides, job aids, and blended learning resources supporting IES program areas.

• Utilize State or County issued LMS platforms for course development, tracking, and reporting.

• Ensure instructional materials meet accessibility standards and accommodate diverse learner needs.


Mandatory Qualifications:

• Level II - Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience as a Tester.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience creating content and delivering training for products across various audiences and technologies, including content for print, eLearning, on-demand videos, job aids, and SCORM-compliant training content.

• At least 6 months of experience working in a government setting.

Desirable Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Health and Human Services experience.

• 4+ years of experience creating and evaluating assessments and tracking KPIs (formative and summative) to measure learner comprehension and training effectiveness.

• 4+ years of experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure inclusive learning for all user groups.

• Certification in instructional design, eLearning development, or adult learning strategies (e.g., ATD CPTD or Prosci certification preferred).
