Principal Network Installation Technician (NIT-4) with Security Clearance

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Network Installation Technician (NIT-4) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure, installation, and maintenance, with a focus on supporting complex network environments. This role requires a detailed-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring the seamless deployment and operation of network systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, and configure network hardware and software systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
• Conduct regular network assessments to identify potential issues and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff members.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and changes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network installation and maintenance.
• Proven experience with network protocols, topologies, and hardware.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+.
• Experience with cloud-based network solutions.
• Knowledge of network virtualization and automation tools.

Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a polygraph. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain this clearance throughout their employment.
