Job Description

G'day, we're Mosh & Moshy.

Our mission is to get Aussies the best possible health outcomes through best-in class health programs. We know the current healthcare system is not meeting the needs of the modern Australian, and we reckon there's a better, more holistic way. Our solutions for hair loss, sexual health, skin care, mental health and weight management are easy, accessible and completely discreet.

More than a job

There's nothing better than the feeling that what you're doing matters and makes a difference. We're pretty lucky that this is the norm, not the exception.

Reporting to a Staff Engineer, this Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in building, maintaining and evolving the core Mosh & Moshy platforms.

You'll work closely with product, design and data to ship high-quality experiences across our web applications - contributing not just to delivery, but to how we build, scale and improve as an engineering team. This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands on in the code, while also shaping technical direction, mentoring others and lifting engineering standards across the board.

What you'll do
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product and design to deliver high quality product outcomes
  • Write clean, scalable and maintainable code across our core applications
  • Break down user stories into well defined technical tasks and contribute to delivery planning
  • Lead the development of features and MVPs from concept through to deployment
  • Contribute to system design, architecture decisions and future technical direction
  • Improve developer workflows, tooling and processes to enhance both speed and quality
  • Advance and maintain our APIs and services to support product and business performance
  • Lead engineering input into product and feature design discussions
  • Mentor and support junior and mid level engineers, contributing to a strong team culture
  • Continuously explore new technologies and ways of working to improve our stack and output
Experience you'll bring

We're looking for someone with a strong product engineering mindset - someone who cares about what gets built, not just how it's built.

  • 6+ years' experience in software development
  • Experience building and scaling production systems and applications
  • Strong understanding of modern engineering patterns, system design and architecture
  • Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g. React)
  • Experience working with backend technologies (e.g. Ruby, Java or similar)
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP or similar)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing practices and modern development workflows
  • Experience working within Agile teams (Kanban, Scrum or similar)
How you work
  • You take a product mindset - thinking about user impact and business outcomes
  • You're comfortable in a fast moving, evolving environment
  • You think critically and approach problems with curiosity and pragmatism
  • You care about quality, performance and long term maintainability
  • You're collaborative and communicate clearly across teams
  • You're proactive, take ownership and follow things through
  • You're open to experimentation - and comfortable failing fast and iterating
What's on offer

Flexible working: we support a mix of in office, hybrid and remote working across Australia. If you're Sydney based, you'll typically spend 3 days in our Surry Hills office - it's a great space to collaborate - with flexibility to work from home.

  • Access to on demand training and development
  • Up to 16 weeks paid parental leave
  • Product discounts
  • Two extra days of annual leave each year
  • Purpose leave (mental health or L&D)
  • EAP and wellbeing programs
  • ClassPass discount
Better, together

We value diversity of thought, background, and perspective. If you're excited about this role but don't meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. Come help us shape the future of healthcare at Mosh & Moshy!
