The Role • Operate heavy machinery such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient turnaround times. • Safely stack, organize, and relocate containers within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure optimal safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks. • Maintain a high standard of safety and adhere to all established operational protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adhere to flexible work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Strong commitment to safety, with excellent attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Open availability for shift work (Day shift 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 2nd shift 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM).
