Senior Quantitative Finance Software Developer/Full Stack Senior - Developer

Job Title: Quantitative Finance Software Developer
Duration: 6+ Months Contract 
Location:  Mclean, VA - Onsite 

Required Skills / Mandatory Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field and 2 years of experience developing analytics software applications, OR Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field and five years of experience developing analytics software applications.
• Practical experience with Python, Python web technologies such as Flask and Dash, and Python data processing technologies such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Solid understanding of web applications, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of quantitative finance.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting systems within financial modeling, analytics, and research.
• Experience developing new code and reviewing existing code changes to ensure standard technology development practices are met.
• Experience with application development and modifying and/or maintaining applications, with knowledge of development tools and languages.
• Ability to write effective code.

Desirable Qualifications:

• 3–7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience or background in fixed income, account, or capital markets.
• AI Agentic programming, including using LLMs to build agentic applications.
• JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, DataTables, and React.
• Front-end design, CSS, and Tailwind.
• Cloud technology, Google Kubeflow, and AWS.
• Mortgage or GSE experience.
• Experience with R, Java, C, C++, or SAS.
