About the role

We are now looking for a Business Analyst to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36.25 hours per week.

The Role

As a Business Analyst, you will work across the Institution to deliver change, simplify key processes and drive continuous improvements within our digital and IT services.

Specifically, you will independently lead projects for small to medium-sized initiatives and contribute to larger programmes. You will gather and analyse business and technical requirements, helping ensure technology investments deliver maximum value.

Working with stakeholders, delivery teams and partners, you will clearly communicate requirements and help shape effective solutions. You will support the development of these solutions through to implementation, ensuring they align with business objectives and deliver successful outcomes.

Additionally, you will:

- Review and support the development of business cases
- Prioritise requirements and manage backlogs
- Support Agile delivery and represent business priorities
- Lead user acceptance testing and secure business sign-off
- Manage implementation and business readiness activities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies
- Build effective relationships and support informed decision-making

About You

To be considered as a Business Analyst, you will need:

- Experience in developing acceptance criteria, UAT scenarios, and leading UAT activities, including issue identification and communication with development teams
- Experience delivering business readiness activities, including training and the creation of user documentation
- Proven experience in eliciting, analysing, and documenting business requirements using techniques such as user stories, and translating them into technical specifications
- Experience supporting process change, with an understanding of change impacts and sensitivity to affected stakeholders
- Working knowledge of system development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) and experience participating in delivery processes
- Skills in facilitating workshops and engaging with diverse stakeholders (internal and external), including process mapping using tools such as Visio or Lucid
- The ability to work with ambiguity, define problem statements, and shape clear, actionable requirements
- The ability to manage and collaborate with external vendors and partners to gather information and support delivery
- Strong IT literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the use of digital tools to analyse, manage, and share information effectively
