The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to load, unload, and move shipping containers. • Safely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure safety and operational readiness. • Coordinate container movements and task execution with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. • Ensure accurate and timely handling of containers to keep freight moving efficiently. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety protocols and meticulous attention to detail. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs.
