Job Description

The Opportunity | Lead Embedded Hardware Engineer
An opportunity to combine your deep hands-on engineering with architectural vision and leadership!
Location: Dayton, OH
Salary Range: $105,000 - $150,000 per year plus bonus

YOUR CHALLENGE:
As a Lead Embedded Hardware Engineer in our Dayton facility, you will be responsible for all aspects of hardware development within an embedded systems environment. You will support activities including requirements definition, design capture, debugging, testing, documenting, support and at the most senior level, may provide architecture, mentoring, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Schematic capture, PCB layout, validation
  • High-speed hardware design
  • System architecture definition and interface conception
  • Requirements writing and analysis, design alternatives
  • Influence product frameworks and architecture
  • Design, develop, test, and support embedded hardware
  • Technology evaluation, mentoring, customer liaison

YOUR EXPERTISE:
  • Bachelors in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 10 years' experience.
  • Experience in the following is an asset:
    • Schematic capture and PCB layout with Altium
    • Strong system engineering and problem-solving
    • Deep embedded Hardware knowledge and experience with processor systems (Intel, ARM, PIC, Atmel, NXP)
    • Hardware interfaces and buses like Ethernet, PCIe, PCI, Fibre Channel, I2C, SPI, USB
    • Validation and production test methodologies.
    • Diagnostic tools like Digital Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, DVMs, etc.
    • Project management
    • Cybersecurity and NIAP Common Criteria is a bonus
  • US citizen required
