Director, Supply Chain Operations
Location: Georgetown, TX
Type of Role: Fulltime, onsite 5 days a week
Salary: Between $165,000 to $210,000 + annual bonus
Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship. Either now or in the future

Position Summary.
My client is seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain Operations & Planning to lead end-to-end supply chain operations supporting their rapidly growing Texas manufacturing operations.
Given my clients growing server manufacturing and service operations in the United States, this role will work closely with electrical engineering, product engineering, NPI (New Product Introduction), manufacturing engineering, and global design teams to ensure seamless material readiness and supply continuity for complex server platforms. The Director will be expected to understand server architectures, electrical components, PCBAs, power systems, semiconductors, networking technologies, and critical engineering change processes that directly impact supply chain planning, sourcing strategies, production readiness, and customer delivery commitments.
The Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across demand and supply planning, SIOP, materials and inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and production support. They will play a critical role in establishing scalable supply chain processes and ensuring operational readiness as Compal continues to expand its U.S. manufacturing footprint.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Electrical Engineering, Product Engineering, NPI, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to align supply chain strategies with server product roadmaps and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop sourcing and supply continuity strategies for critical server components including semiconductors, PCBAs, CPUs, GPUs, memory, storage, power supplies, networking components, and other electrically engineered assemblies.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), product transitions, component qualifications, and lifecycle management activities to minimize operational disruption.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to assess component risks, technology roadmaps, alternate part qualifications, and long-lead material strategies.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production ramp activities by ensuring material readiness, supplier alignment, and capacity availability for new server platforms.
  • Evaluate supply chain impacts of electrical design decisions, component selection, product revisions, and customer-specific configurations.
  • Establish strong partnerships with Asia-based design engineering teams and suppliers to improve communication, demand visibility, and execution across the server supply chain.
  • Drive risk management strategies related to component shortages, allocation situations, end-of-life notifications, and semiconductor market constraints.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive supply chain experience , preferably within a technical manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting server, data center, networking, electronics, OEM/ODM, or other complex technology manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic components used in server manufacturing, including semiconductors, PCBAs, power systems, networking hardware, storage devices, and related component supply ecosystems.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams on product lifecycle management, engineering change control, NPI programs, and component qualification processes.
  • Ability to understand engineering tradeoffs and translate technical requirements into supply chain execution strategies.

Preferred
  • APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
