Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with 20+ years of experience to lead the successful delivery of enterprise software products from concept through execution. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader with strong expertise in Product Management, Business Analysis, Agile/Scrum, and Project Delivery to support the implementation of the Open Host Solution (OHS) for a major transportation organization in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The ideal candidate will independently drive product initiatives, collaborate with executive stakeholders, Solution Architects, Engineering teams, QA, and third-party vendors, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from requirements gathering and planning through development, testing, release, and post-launch support.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define product vision, business requirements, priorities, and delivery roadmap.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure business requirements are translated into effective technical solutions.
• Provide day-to-day project oversight, proactively managing project scope, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, resource allocation, and change requests.
• Ensure product quality and on-time delivery by monitoring project execution and driving issue resolution.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, support Scrum teams, remove delivery impediments, and promote Agile best practices across cross-functional teams.
• Participate in vendor qualification, technical evaluations, and vendor performance management to ensure delivery excellence.
• Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders, providing regular project updates, strategic recommendations, and executive-level reporting.
• Continuously improve product delivery processes, governance, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 20+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Delivery, Program Management, or Project Management within software development environments.
• Strong experience in Business Analysis, including requirements elicitation, process analysis, backlog management, and change management.
• Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum environments, with the ability to lead Agile teams and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), modern software architecture, and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Proven ability to work effectively with Solution Architects, software engineering teams, QA, DevOps, and external vendors.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex software projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, make strategic decisions, and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
