QA Analyst - Onsite in NYC

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst Consultant with recent testing experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain and exposure to AWS-based applications.

The ideal candidate should have experience across both manual and automation testing, with this role placing greater emphasis on Manual UI Testing, Business Workflow Testing, SIT/UAT, and functional validation of financial applications.

This position is particularly well suited for Senior QA Analysts, UAT Testers, or Business Analysts with strong hands-on testing experience in financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on Manual UI Testing across financial applications.
• Validate end-to-end business workflows, business rules, and user-facing functionality.
• Review User Stories, Business Requirements, and Technical Specifications and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Test and validate data migration activities, including source-to-target validation, reconciliation, and data integrity checks.
• Perform backend/database testing using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Test and validate stored procedures, database logic, and related data processing.
• Perform API testing using Postman, including request/response validation, payload validation, authentication, status codes, and error scenarios.
• Validate applications, integrations, and data flows running on or interacting with AWS platforms.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, business users, and other stakeholders during testing and release cycles.
• Communicate testing progress, defects, risks, and business impacts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Recent hands-on QA Testing experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain.
• Experience testing applications on or integrated with AWS platforms.
• Strong experience with Manual UI Testing and functional testing.
• Strong experience validating business workflows and end-to-end financial processes.
• Hands-on experience with SIT and UAT.
• Strong ability to convert User Stories and Technical Specifications into Test Cases.
• Experience with data migration testing and data validation.
• Hands-on experience testing stored procedures using SSMS.
• Strong API Testing experience using Postman.
• Experience with both manual and automation testing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
