Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Level 1 Technician in Selma, TX.

Summary

We're looking for a hands-on Level 1 Technical Operations Technician who enjoys solving problems, working with technology, and helping people stay productive. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of IT support, desktop support, field services, or technical operations experience who wants to continue building their technical skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Duties

Provide Hands-On Technical Support:

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues
  • Support POS systems, PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, tablets, and mobile devices
  • Diagnose basic network issues involving Wi-Fi, switches, routers, access points, and internet connectivity
  • Image, configure, deploy, replace, and troubleshoot equipment
  • Provide both onsite and remote technical support
Manage and Resolve Incidents:
  • Respond to service tickets within established service levels
  • Document troubleshooting steps, actions taken, and resolutions
  • Resolve Level 1 issues and appropriately escalate more complex problems to Level 2 support or engineering teams
  • Follow established IT support processes, procedures, and documentation standards
Support Stores and Technology Projects:
  • Assist with new store openings, remodels, relocations, technology refreshes, and deployments
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors on installations and repairs
  • Maintain spare technology equipment and asset inventory
  • Perform preventive maintenance and technology health checks
Deliver a Great Support Experience:
  • Build positive relationships with store leaders and associates
  • Communicate technical information in a clear, approachable way
  • Provide basic user guidance and training on supported technology
  • Follow through on issues to help ensure timely resolution and a positive customer experience
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in desktop support, field services, help desk, technical operations, or a similar IT support environment preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi, and common network troubleshooting
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing requests, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree, technical degree, or relevant IT certification
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and remote support tools
  • Previous experience supporting retail technology or point-of-sale systems

Successful technicians in this role deliver responsive, reliable support while minimizing disruption to business operations.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
