The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Maneuver containers within the intermodal yard, ensuring proper placement and organization. • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to guarantee safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • A strong commitment to safety and keen attention to detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
