Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Java & Azure Data Architect with strong expertise in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, Java development, and Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. The ideal candidate should have 14+ years of overall IT experience, with significant experience in Java and Azure, and 15+ years of experience in data architecture and data modeling.

Required Skills

• 14+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development and architecture
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture and Data Modeling
• Strong knowledge of Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models
• Experience designing enterprise data architecture
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Azure Data Services, such as:
    - Azure Data Factory (ADF)
    - Azure Data Lake
    - Azure Synapse Analytics
    - Azure SQL Database
    - Azure Databricks
• Strong Java experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices
• Experience designing scalable and highly available applications
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT and data integration
• Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling
• Knowledge of OLTP and OLAP architecture
• Experience with cloud migration and modernization
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, security, and metadata management
• Experience creating and maintaining data dictionaries and data lineage
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data architecture using Azure cloud technologies.
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Define data architecture standards, principles, and best practices.
• Work closely with application architects and development teams on Java and Azure solutions.
• Design scalable data pipelines, integration solutions, and data platforms.
• Analyze existing systems and develop strategies for cloud migration and modernization.
• Ensure data solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, security, and availability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data architecture.
• Review application and database designs and provide architectural guidance.
• Support data governance, data quality, lineage, and metadata initiatives.
• Mentor development and data engineering teams on architecture and modeling best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Banking / Financial Services domain.
• Experience working with large enterprise clients such as Northern Trust.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or related certifications.
• Experience with Kafka, Event Hubs, or other messaging platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
