Job Description

About Reason Group

Reason Group is an Australian business and technology services firm helping government and regulated enterprises become faster, safer, and simpler. We specialise in digital transformation, business improvement, technology delivery, and AI-enabled solutions that help organisations navigate complexity and deliver better outcomes. As a trusted partner with deep expertise in government and regulated environments, we work alongside our clients to design, build, and deliver practical solutions that create lasting value.

The role

The ServiceNow Developer designs, configures, develops and supports secure, scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role works closely with analysts, architects, testers and client stakeholders to translate requirements into maintainable platform outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Configure and develop ServiceNow applications, workflows, forms, integrations, scripts and automation.
  • Translate approved requirements and solution designs into secure, maintainable technical components.
  • Follow ServiceNow development standards and favour configuration and reusable patterns over unnecessary customisation.
  • Complete unit testing, peer reviews, defect resolution and technical documentation.
  • Support releases, upgrades, data migration, integration and production troubleshooting activities.
  • Work collaboratively in agile delivery teams and communicate estimates, progress, dependencies and risks.
  • Protect client information and comply with security, access, change and release controls.

What you will bring

  • Hands-on ServiceNow development experience using relevant modules and platform capabilities.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST or SOAP integrations, data models and access controls.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator is desirable; Certified Application Developer or relevant implementation certifications are highly regarded.
  • Experience with source control, automated testing, upgrades and agile delivery is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Sound judgement, initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities in a changing environment.
  • A collaborative, respectful approach and willingness to support work beyond immediate responsibilities when needed.
  • Commitment to quality, confidentiality, security, workplace policies and client compliance requirements.
  • Curiosity about emerging technology and openness to using approved AI tools responsibly to improve outcomes.

Why join us

  • Advance your career working on meaningful and varied projects with great people.
  • Enjoy a people-first culture focused on wellbeing, fun and happiness.
  • Be part of a growing, sovereign Australian technology business.
  • Work in an innovative environment where you can own your work, think differently and create impact.
  • Join an inclusive workplace where we celebrate our diversity and you feel like you belong.
  • Access professional development and clear pathways to learn, grow and be mentored by our leaders.
  • Be handsomely rewarded for performance.
