Job Description

About the Role
Join a dynamic, growing company as the Director of Human Resources, where you will have the unique opportunity to build and lead the HR function from the ground up. Fully remote role gives you full ownership of the employee experience across all branch locations. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape the people strategy, drive culture and engagement, and ensure compliance as the organization expands across multiple states.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-state environment and is passionate about making a lasting impact on company culture and employee success. Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of employee relations across branch locations, including investigating and resolving conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary matters with fairness and consistency. Oversee the full-cycle recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes, developing staffing strategies to support multi-state growth.

Design and implement culture, engagement, and retention initiatives for geographically dispersed teams. Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across all states of operation; maintain company-wide HR policies and accurate recordkeeping. Develop and administer the company's performance review process, including goal-setting and improvement plans. Advise the CEO on organizational structure, workforce planning, and people-related risk management. Travel quarterly to branch locations to connect with teams, support managers, and oversee culture initiatives in person.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification required. Proven experience in human resources leadership, ideally within a multi-state or multi-branch organization. Strong working knowledge of employment law and labor compliance across multiple jurisdictions. A track record of building recruiting, onboarding, and performance management programs that scale. Excellent judgment and discretion handling sensitive and confidential matters. Willingness and ability to travel quarterly to branch locations.

Why Join Us
This is a rare opportunity to build the HR function from the ground up at a growing, multi-state company with direct access to the CEO, full ownership of the people strategy, and the chance to shape culture and process across every branch as we scale.
