Job Description

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established fire and security business with the recruitment of a Fire Service Engineer.

Permanent, full-time position based in Glasgow.

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience + overtime + additional benefits + Company Car

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, test and maintain fire and security systems including Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms.
  • Carry out small works installations and system upgrades.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults across fire and security systems.
  • Work from technical drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams.
  • Test and commission systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Complete commissioning documentation, certificates and service reports.
  • Liaise with clients, site teams and other contractors.
  • Provide system demonstrations and handovers where required.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within fire and security servicing or small works.
  • Experience across Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
  • Comfortable reading technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good understanding of networking and IP-based systems.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Ability to pass full security vetting.
  • ECS or CSCS card would be beneficial.
