Job Description

Role: ServiceNow Lead Engineer (Vulnerability Response Specialist)

Location: Charlotte NC (100% Onsite)

Duration: Long term Project

Role Objective

Drive & lead the implementation of the technical solution, architecture, and engineering governance for the ServiceNow workstream supporting LLM-sourced AVR (Application Vulnerability Response) ingestion. Act as the primary onshore technical interface across business, platform, integration, data, security, and onshore-offshore delivery team members.

Configure and develop the ServiceNow application components required for reliable AVR ingestion and downstream processing, working under the technical direction of the Lead Engineer and in close collaboration with QA and other platform integration teams and program manager.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead requirement elaboration and translate business, ingestion, workflow, security, and reporting needs into an implementable ServiceNow technical design.

· Define the end-to-end architecture for receiving, validating, transforming, persisting, and processing LLM-sourced AVR data within ServiceNow.

· Establish data contracts, field mappings, validation rules, duplicate-handling logic, exception paths, and auditability requirements with source-system and business stakeholders.

· Provide technical direction for integrations using appropriate ServiceNow APIs, IntegrationHub capabilities, import sets, transform maps, scripted interfaces, and secure authentication patterns.

· Design or govern custom tables, scoped-application components, flows, subflows, business rules, script includes, notifications, scheduled processing, and operational dashboards.

· Ensure alignment with ServiceNow platform standards, application scope, configuration-over-customization principles, access controls, data privacy, performance, and upgradeability expectations.

· Own technical backlog refinement, estimation, dependency identification, solution walkthroughs, code-review standards, and engineering acceptance criteria.

· Guide the Application Engineer and QA/ATF Engineer, remove technical blockers, and coordinate defect triage and resolution across onshore and offshore teams.

· Plan deployment sequencing and support change, release, rollback, production-readiness, and post-deployment validation activities.

· Maintain architecture decisions, technical design documents, interface specifications, configuration documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials.

Required Skills and Experience

· Strong hands-on ServiceNow engineering experience, including scoped applications, server-side and client-side scripting, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP integrations, import sets, transform maps, and security controls.

· Ability to design robust ingestion pipelines with validation, reconciliation, error handling, observability, retry, and audit-trail capabilities.

· Advanced JavaScript and ServiceNow API knowledge, with strong debugging, performance-tuning, and code-review capability.

· Experience leading distributed delivery teams and communicating technical decisions to business, architecture, security, and product stakeholders.

· Working knowledge of Agile delivery, source control, update sets or application repository practices, release governance, and production support.

· Experience with AI/LLM-generated content, document or data ingestion, human-in-the-loop review, or regulated/auditable workflows.

· Experience with automated testing, CI/CD integration, platform health controls, and enterprise integration patterns.

Certifications

· ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (Must)

· Certified Application Developer (optional)

· ServiceNow Implementation specialist (CIS- VR) (Must)
