We're hiring for a prominent organization within the United States Department of Defense, known for its critical role in naval systems engineering and integration. This is an opportunity to contribute to large-scale naval programs, working with leading shipbuilders and technology providers.

The Role

• Manage the naval architecture aspects of major aircraft carrier program systems integration.
• Develop and set engineering policy for compliance by Navy project engineers and contractors.
• Plan, design, and report on high-risk engineering operations for system and aircraft carrier design.
• Represent organizational interests in negotiations affecting system of systems and ship integration.
• Evaluate and incorporate the latest developments in Naval Architecture and Engineering Systems.

What You'll Need

• Minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to NH-03 (GS-13) in managing systems engineering projects for ship or ship system design, development, maintenance, or modernization.
• A professional engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, or equivalent educational qualifications and/or professional engineering licensure.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Experience in planning and managing complex programs related to ship design, maintenance, and development.
• Knowledge of naval architecture principles and engineering systems.
