Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke | Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany | Hybrid This employer is a significant player in the energy infrastructure sector, actively contributing to the energy transition and climate goals across southeastern Germany. They are seeking a skilled technician to join their High Voltage / Substations division, focusing on critical projects ranging from medium to extra-high voltage substations. This is an opportunity to be instrumental in building and modernizing the energy grid for a sustainable future. The Role • Be a key contributor to the energy transition by ensuring the successful commissioning of electrical installations in substations up to 380kV. • Analyze and resolve incidents in protection and control systems, collaborating with expert teams to drive improvements. • Program and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices for high and medium voltage applications from leading manufacturers. • Commission digital protection and control technology using state-of-the-art testing equipment. • Foster strong collaboration with project management, planning, and installation teams. • Support customer projects in energy transmission, distribution, and grid connection for renewable energy parks. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering. • Proven affinity and expertise in protection/control technology, with experience in commissioning switchgear and knowledge of communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with parameterization software (e.g., Siemens DIGSI, Schneider MICOM) and testing software (e.g., OMICRON Test Universe) is advantageous. • Strong team player with a sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills in German, and a professional demeanor. • Possess a valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel (typically Monday-Thursday) within southeastern Germany.
