Detailed Job Description:

•         Design and maintain scalable PostgreSQL database solutions.

•         Develop logical and physical data models, including normalization, denormalization, and partitioning strategies.

•         Develop and optimize complex SQL and PL/pgSQL code.

•         Analyze execution plans and troubleshoot database performance issues.

•         Implement indexing strategies and database performance tuning.

•         Design and support high availability, replication, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.

•         Administer and monitor PostgreSQL environments using standard PostgreSQL tools.

•         Support data quality, governance, metadata management, and data lineage initiatives.

•         Develop and support ETL/ELT processes, CDC solutions, and event-driven data pipelines.

•         Integrate PostgreSQL with applications, APIs, and microservices.

•         Support cloud-hosted PostgreSQL environments and infrastructure automation.

•         Implement database security, auditing, encryption, and compliance controls.

Must Have Skills:

•         PostgreSQL, Data Modeling, SQL, PL/pgSQL

•         Common Table Expressions (CTEs), Window Functions

•         Stored Procedures, Views, Materialized Views

•         Execution Plan Analysis, Performance Tuning

•         B-Tree Indexes, Hash Indexes, GIN Indexes

•         GiST Indexes, BRIN Indexes, VACUUM Optimization

•         Statistics Management, Memory Tuning
