Job Summary

We are on the lookout for a passionate and detail-oriented Data Specialist to join our analytics and data management team. Person shall possess curiosity with an interest in learning new systems, developing efficiencies, and establishing standards and procedures for agricultural database systems. Must have basic computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience and education, working specifically in data analytics is preferred, but not required, as analytical thinking, curiosity, and ability to work in a team are much more important to the function of this role.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Manage and troubleshoot basic database transactions and records, particularly in areas relating to the Breeder and Hatchery departments
  • Maintain and monitor flock and transaction records for breeder farms, flocks, and houses
  • Receive, review, enter, and verify breeder egg production and inventory data
  • Communicate and coordinate with others in the office and between departments, specifically with the breeder department
  • Interpret data, develop recommendations, and track goals related to breeder flocks
  • Develop reports and internal processes to evaluate efficiency
  • Assist with month-end and year-end activities and audits
  • Collaborate to identify process improvements and support automation

  • Ability to learn quickly and ask curious questions about processes and efficiency
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and methodology development, and data mapping
  • Communicative, positive team-based attitude
  • Excellent understanding of Miller Poultry's goals and values

Experience: One to two years related experience

Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word.
