Job description
Some specific tasks of the research assistants include:
• Operate the required facilities and acquire data. • Assist the research associates and faculty in enhancing the computer programs to process the data. • Organize technical meetings as required by the project. • Write technical reports based on the analysis of the results. • Make technical presentations for the sponsors. Required Qualifications • BS. degree in petroleum engineering or a similar field. • Experience in a computer language such as Python and MATLAB • Knowledge of fluid flow in pipes Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of multiphase fluid flow in pipes and equipment • Knowledge of basic instrumentation • Experience with video processing Physical demand • Typing/Keyboarding: Proficiency in typing and using a computer keyboard for extended periods.
