Job Summary B&A is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Enterprise Database Infrastructure Services at any DLA Location.

• Period of Performance: 1 Base Year + 2 Option Years

Location Onsite/hybrid at any one of the following DLA locations: Dayton, OH; Columbus, OH; New Cumberland, PA; and Philadelphia, PA; Battle Creek, MI; Fort Belvoir, VA; Ogden, UT; or Richmond, VA. Responsibilities

• Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure.
• Provide technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation and ongoing operation of databases.
• The Systems Engineer shall participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
• Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements.
• The Systems Engineer shall document specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results.
• Depicts complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; communicates project objectives, scope and status to project teams.

Education and Experience

• Five (5) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field.
• Must have at least five (5) years of experience working with DLA IT systems.
• Experience serving in the following roles/functions: o Database Architect o Replication Expert o Database Encryption Expert o LDAP/Certificate Authentication Expert o Disaster Recovery/COOP Expert o Database Security Expert o High Availability Expert
• Expert knowledge and practical experience within DoD IT database management technology stacks, including planning and implementing database and/or Application Server implementations.
• Demonstrated experience planning, implementing, and negotiating large-sized technology projects supporting business initiatives.
• Experience initiating, planning, mentoring, executing, controlling, and delivering working projects. Required Certifications
• Current DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
• Current Computing Environment (CE) Certification — at least ONE of the following: o Oracle OCP (10g or higher) o Oracle OCP 19c or higher o Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): DBA o MCSE: SQL Server o MCSA: SQL Server or higher o Azure Database Associate or higher Security Clearance
• Active Secret, adjudicated within the last five (5) years 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without accommodation.

• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Frequently operate standard office equipment, including computers and telephones.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, video conference, and email.
• Occasionally move about the office and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule with regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
