Job Description

Position: Project Manager

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Contract: 12+ Months and Extendable 

Client: State of TX (Office of the Attorney General of Texas)

 

Description:

The OAG Information Technology Services Division (ITS) is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for managing the procurement, configuration, scheduling, deployment and close-out of new devices for Admin and Legal staff statewide. A successful candidate will have the ability to organize a diverse team of technical and soft skilled talent, conduct meetings with stakeholders, establish effective communications, maintain a high degree of project transparency, and accurately report program status throughout its life cycle.

• 8+ years of progressive IT project management experience. Demonstrated leadership of hardware deployment or enterprise refresh programs.

Expertise in SDLC, PMBOK, Agile delivery coordination, change management, and enterprise IT operations.

Proven ability to communicate clearly with executives, technical teams, and end users. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple vendors and cross functional teams.

Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and standard OAG workflow tools.

Preferred Qualifications : PMP, CSM, or ITIL certifications. Experience with Texas state agencies. Prior experience supporting statewide IT. Experience organizing logistics for deployments exceeding 800+ devices.
