Mechanical Engineer

Looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for our Client in Custom Automation Machinery Industry.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design custom automated machinery and 
manufacturing equipment for industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 
machine design and automation, with experience developing innovative mechanisms, machine concepts, and 
automated systems from concept through commissioning. This position offers the opportunity to work on 
unique automation projects rather than repetitive product design work.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least 6+ years of experience in areas such as: 
o Custom Machine Design
o Special Purpose Machinery
o Factory Automation
o Automated Assembly Equipment
o Manufacturing Equipment Design
• Strong SolidWorks experience.
• Strong understanding of: 
o Machine Design Fundamentals
o Kinematics
o Motion Control Mechanisms
o Mechanical Linkages
o Automated Equipment Design
o Precision Mechanisms
o DFM/DFA Principles
• Ability to develop machine concepts from minimal customer requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop innovative machine concepts based on customer manufacturing requirements.
• Design complete automated machine systems using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed machine layouts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
• Design and develop: 
o Mechanical linkages
o Kinematic mechanisms
o Indexing systems
o End-of-arm tooling (EOAT)
o Part presentation and handling systems
o Assembly tooling and fixtures
o Automated material transfer mechanisms
o Precision motion systems
• Create machine architecture and mechanism concepts that optimize cycle time, reliability, 
manufacturability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with controls engineers, machine builders, and project managers throughout project 
execution.
• Participate in concept reviews, design reviews, and customer technical discussions.
• Support machine build, debug, FAT, and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine performance and design-related issues.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and customer requirements.
