Imaging Desktop Technician / Endpoint Engineer (Project)


Location: Fully Onsite
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: 5-Month Contract
Interview Process: 2 Rounds (Virtual)
Environment: Approximately 70 End Users


Overview


We are seeking an Imaging Desktop Technician / Endpoint Engineer to support a device migration and endpoint management initiative. This role will focus on transitioning users from virtual machines (VMs) to physical laptops, ensuring devices are properly imaged, configured, domain-joined, and managed through modern endpoint administration tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with laptop imaging, Intune, endpoint management platforms, automation, and end-user support.


Responsibilities



  • Migrate users from virtual machine environments to physical laptop deployments.

  • Image, configure, and deploy Windows laptops for end users.

  • Reset and rebuild devices to ensure proper Hybrid Azure AD Join and domain connectivity.

  • Install and migrate software applications from virtual desktop environments to local devices.

  • Manage and support endpoints using Microsoft Intune and/or other endpoint management platforms.

  • Assist with the configuration and automation of endpoint management processes within NinjaOne.

  • Troubleshoot device enrollment, domain join, and endpoint management issues.

  • Utilize command-line tools and scripting to support deployments, troubleshooting, and automation efforts.

  • Coordinate directly with end users throughout device migration, deployment, and support activities.

  • Ensure devices are compliant with organizational standards and security policies.

  • Document deployment procedures, device configurations, and support processes.


Required Qualifications



  • 3+ years of experience in desktop support, endpoint engineering, or device deployment projects.

  • Hands-on experience imaging and deploying Windows laptops.

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune device management and enrollment.

  • Knowledge of Hybrid Azure AD Join and domain-joined device configurations.

  • Experience with endpoint management solutions such as NinjaOne, SCCM/MECM, Workspace ONE, ManageEngine, or similar tools.

  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and workstation troubleshooting.

  • Experience using command-line tools for system administration and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service to end users.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience creating or automating device deployment and imaging processes.

  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting.

  • Experience supporting device lifecycle management projects.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 endpoint administration and modern device management best practices.
