Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Appian Developer with 6–10 years of IT experience and 5+ years of hands-on Appian development experience. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the Appian low-code/BPM platform and experience designing, developing, integrating, and deploying enterprise-grade business process automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Appian applications, including process models, SAIL interfaces, data models, and integrations.

• Lead end-to-end Appian project delivery from requirements gathering through deployment and production support.

• Build and optimize SAIL interfaces, process models, decision rules, sites, and record types.

• Integrate Appian with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Connected Systems, Web Services, and database connections.

• Design and implement complex data models, including CDTs and relational database structures.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability according to Appian best practices.

• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level developers.

• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to solution design decisions.

• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and coding standards.

• Support Appian version upgrades and platform migrations.

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6–10 years of overall IT experience with 5+ years of hands-on Appian development.

• Strong proficiency in Appian SAIL, process modeling, interfaces, records, sites, and reports.

• Strong understanding of BPM concepts and workflow automation.

• Experience integrating Appian with REST/SOAP web services, SQL Server, Oracle, and third-party systems.

• Knowledge of Appian security models, groups, and user administration.

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance-tuning skills.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Appian Certified Senior or Lead Developer certification.

• Experience with Appian RPA, AI Skills, and advanced Appian integrations.

• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

• Exposure to Pega, ServiceNow, Mendix, or other BPM/low-code platforms.
