Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Architect – Data & Analytics to help establish and evolve the long-term data strategy and architecture for a Data & Analytics Center of Excellence.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data architecture, data warehousing, data engineering, ETL, SQL, cloud data platforms, and business intelligence. This role will work closely with data management teams, business intelligence teams, product managers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to design scalable and maintainable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise data architecture and data strategy.
• Collaborate with data management teams to understand enterprise data requirements.
• Design and enhance data warehouse and data lake solutions.
• Develop data objects including tables, data marts, and ETL components.
• Design and maintain scalable ETL/data pipeline solutions.
• Partner with BI, analytics, product, and business teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries, architecture documentation, standards, and development frameworks.
• Provide data architecture and analysis support for business initiatives.
• Troubleshoot data platform, pipeline, and architecture-related issues.
• Support data migration from various source systems into SQL Server environments.
• Apply data security practices across network, identity, privacy, authorization, and encryption.
• Work with IT teams to ensure data platforms and development practices meet enterprise standards.
• Participate in Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD practices.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Data Architect role.
• 5+ years of Data Warehouse experience.
• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• Strong SQL skills, including:
  • Query optimization
  • Performance tuning
  • Index maintenance
  • Database structures
• Experience with ETL technologies such as:
  • SSIS
  • Azure Pipelines
  • dbt
  • Informatica
• Strong programming/query experience with SQL, Python, DAX, or similar technologies.
• Experience with BI/reporting platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as:
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Snowflake
  • Databricks

Additional Technical Skills

• Data warehousing architecture: MOLAP, ROLAP, ODS, Data Marts, Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Big Data and SQL-based storage technologies.
• Data security and authorization concepts.
• Azure Active Directory / Azure AD and SSO.
• Data encryption concepts and standards.
• XML and HTML.
• Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• CI/CD development practices.
• Experience working across multiple firewall/security layers.
• Financial services or banking industry experience is preferred.
