About AlphaGov

AlphaGov is the government and public-sector division of Casa Moon LLC. We help organizations address workforce challenges through executive search, recruiting, workforce planning, and workforce intelligence.

We are building our sourcing and research network for upcoming search engagements. AlphaGov is currently pursuing six government executive and senior leadership search contracts.

Government experience is preferred, but not required. Full-cycle recruiting experience is not required.

The Opportunity

Help our search team find and engage qualified leaders. This role focuses on identifying potential candidates, researching their professional backgrounds, and developing organized pipelines for executive, leadership, and specialized searches.

This opportunity may suit talent sourcers, executive search researchers, recruiting coordinators with sourcing experience, and recruiters who prefer candidate research and outreach.

What You’ll Do

• Research organizations, leadership teams, and relevant talent markets.
• Identify potential candidates who match the requirements of a search.
• Build and maintain accurate candidate lists and talent maps.
• Use LinkedIn, professional associations, public sources, referrals, and other appropriate research tools.
• Draft and conduct candidate outreach in coordination with the search team.
• Assess initial interest and basic alignment with position requirements.
• Document candidate experience, outreach activity, and follow-up needs.
• Prepare concise research notes and candidate profiles for recruiters and search leads.
• Identify gaps in candidate pipelines and suggest additional sourcing approaches.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in candidate sourcing, recruiting research, talent mapping, or recruiting that included direct candidate identification.
• Ability to research professional backgrounds and assess alignment with a position.
• Clear written communication and strong attention to detail.
• Comfort organizing information in spreadsheets, applicant tracking systems, or recruiting databases.
• Persistence in finding qualified candidates beyond inbound applications.
• Good judgment when handling candidate information.

Preferred Experience

• Sourcing executives, directors, managers, or specialized professionals.
• Researching government agencies, public utilities, higher education, or nonprofit organizations.
• Boolean search, advanced sourcing techniques, and passive candidate outreach.
• Supporting multiple searches or working with executive search consultants.

We welcome applicants with focused sourcing expertise, even if they have not independently managed a search or completed a placement.

Engagement Details

This posting is for anticipated opportunities. Assignments are contingent on contract awards and client needs. Scope, schedule, engagement terms, and compensation will be discussed before an assignment is accepted.
