Need SDET / Test Automation Engineer (California Locals)

Position: SDET (California Locals) Location: Cupertino, CA (Onsite)
Job Description
We are looking for a strong SDET / Test Automation Engineer with hands-on expertise in Python, Swift and XCUITest to join an onsite engineering and quality team supporting device-level and end-to-end testing for a large-scale consumer platform.
This is a highly technical QE/SDET role requiring a combination of a strong testing mindset and strong software engineering skills. The engineer will perform hands-on device and end-to-end testing while also developing automation frameworks, reusable libraries, validation utilities and testing tools. Candidates need to have good AI testing experience using Claude, ChatGPT etc.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain Python- and Swift-based test automation.
Develop and maintain automated device tests using XCUITest/XCTest.
Perform hands-on iOS/device, functional and end-to-end testing.
Debug, troubleshoot and fix existing automated tests and framework issues.
Build reusable automation libraries and utilities to support new product features.
Develop automation for API, database, device and end-to-end validations.
Design automation components for scalability, maintainability and reuse.
Build testing tools that enable other engineering teams to perform device and end-to-end validation.
Mandatory Skills
Strong hands-on Python programming experience
Strong hands-on Swift programming experience
Strong hands-on XCUITest/XCTest automation experience
Strong SDET / Test Automation engineering background
Hands-on iOS/device testing experience
Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks and reusable test libraries
API testing and automation experience
Database/data validation experience
End-to-end/integration testing experience
Ability to understand engineering requirements and translate them into test strategy and automation
