Butcher / Delicatessen Counter Specialist | Mechernich, Germany | On-site

We are seeking a passionate individual for the heart of our fresh food counter, specializing in meat, sausage, cheese, and gourmet foods. This role is for a leading German grocery retailer known for its commitment to fresh, high-quality products and customer service.

The Role

  • Advise customers with expertise on meat, sausage, cheese, and deli items.
  • Create high-quality, appealing culinary selections.
  • Ensure attractive product presentation and maintain freshness.
  • Handle product preparation, including refinement and portioning.
  • Independently prepare specialty items according to in-house recipes.
  • Uphold rigorous hygiene standards with a keen eye for detail.

What You'll Need

  • Ideally, completed vocational training as a butcher, meat processor, or food sales assistant with a focus on butchery.
  • A genuine enjoyment of interacting with people and a passion for retail.
  • A reliable, responsible, and team-oriented work ethic, with strong customer focus.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, Monday through Saturday.
  • Experience in presenting and preparing fresh food products.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
