Software Developer — Cyber Capability Development with Security Clearance

Shadowgate Partners is seeking a CNO Developer for a Client.

Salary: $218,000 per year, plus an additional 25% ($54,548) of your salary in fully and immediately vested employer 401(k) contributions. You will design and build custom software supporting computer network operations tooling and techniques. The work spans end-to-end data flow and tasking into the capabilities you help build, and you will participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews as a full member of the engineering team. This is a strong seat for a developer who wants their code to matter operationally rather than sit behind a product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities • Design and develop custom software for CNO tools and techniques.

• Build end-to-end data flow and tasking paths into developed capabilities.
• Participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews.
• Author technical documentation for the software you deliver.
• Work with teammates to adopt shared libraries and common build practices. Required Qualifications • Programming experience in Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, and/or Python.
• Development experience in at least one of: Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments; UNIX applications using make files or a comparable build environment.
• Comfort reading and reasoning about code you did not write.
• Ability to document work and defend design decisions in review.

Preferred Qualifications • Exposure to network protocols and socket programming.

• Familiarity with reverse engineering tools such as Ghidra or IDA Pro.
• Experience with version control and CI workflows (Git/GitLab).
• Prior work in a mission, research, or security-engineering environment.

Experience & Education Bachelor's degree, or four years of experience in a relevant field. Clearance Level This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must hold, or be able to reinstate, the required clearance and polygraph prior to start. Clearance eligibility must be maintained throughout the duration of employment.
