The Role • Define requirements for designing, developing, building, and maintaining tools, processes, and data architecture for a Model Based Enterprise. • Analyze existing and proposed systems, developing technical, structural, and organizational specifications. • Lead stakeholders in determining conditions and designing fully functional and secure digital solutions. • Develop long-range objectives and strategic plans for digital engineering innovations and communicate findings to stakeholders. • Generate and present business case analyses for digital enterprise opportunities to executive leadership. • Enable digital transformation through research, new technical approaches, and development and testing of functionality. What You'll Need • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program, with 9 years of relevant experience (or 7 years with a Master's, 4 years with a PhD.). • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to support design, analysis, verification, and validation of complex ship systems. • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), data environments, and product modeling processes. • Ability to lead projects and manage all aspects of project management. • Familiarity with Navy shipbuilding programs and requirements. • Experience with digital twin, simulation, and digital thread concepts.
