The Role • Operate heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Safely stack, move, and organize containers according to operational needs. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage container moves and daily tasks efficiently. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position. • Prior experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong commitment to safety protocols and a keen attention to detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including second shift, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
