Data Center Engineer – SAN & Cabling

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Data Center Engineer to support a short-term data center build-out project. The engineer will be responsible for SAN, cabling, rack-and-stack, and infrastructure deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support data center build-out and deployment activities.
• Perform SAN/storage installation and cabling.
• Install, route, label, and validate fiber and copper cabling.
• Perform rack-and-stack of servers, switches, and storage equipment.
• Support physical network and infrastructure connectivity.
• Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues.
• Follow data center standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain project documentation and provide status updates.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on data center experience.
• Strong SAN / Storage experience.
• Strong fiber and copper cabling experience.
• Experience with rack-and-stack activities.
• Experience supporting data center deployments or build-outs.
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure and connectivity.
• Ability to work independently onsite.

Travel

• Up to 3 onsite visits.
• Each visit may be approximately 4–5 days.
• Travel expenses will be handled as pass-through costs through the client account.
