Fire Control Technicians - Systems Engineer | Middletown, RI | On-site We're hiring on behalf of a leading defense contractor renowned for its expertise in developing cutting-edge warfare systems for the undersea, surface, and air domains. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your military experience in a dynamic engineering environment. The Role • Provide systems engineering support for 3rd Party Targeting, BYG-1 Combat Control System, and Tomahawk Weapon System across submarine classes. • Review system designs with customer program leads and offer recommendations based on operational expertise. • Investigate and analyze software and hardware failures to identify root causes. • Support lab testing, evaluate new system capabilities, and troubleshoot technical issues. • Develop temporary workarounds for problems while long-term solutions are explored. • Prepare clear and concise problem reports and attend relevant meetings to provide verbal communication. What You'll Need • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline OR equivalent military experience with US Navy Submarine Combat Systems and relevant advanced "C" School completion. • 6 years of related experience working with submarine combat systems. • Active Secret Security Clearance required upon hire. • US Citizenship is a requirement for employment. • Experience with Global Command and Control System - Maritime (GCCS-M) and Radiant Valkyrie Lite (RVL) is a plus.
