Engineering Support Specialist Electronics Systems/Engineering Laboratory Scottsdale, AZ $60.54 - $65.54/Hourly U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law We are hiring an Engineering Support Specialist to support advanced electronics systems, engineering laboratory operations, and technical project execution in a defense engineering environment. This role focuses on engineering troubleshooting, prototype assembly, system testing, technical documentation, and resource planning while supporting system-level design, detailed design, manufacturing, and the development of complex electronic devices, assemblies, and subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for the development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced electronic systems and components.
• Perform engineering laboratory activities, including equipment layout, assembly, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of electronic devices, subsystems, and systems.
• Support system-level design, detailed engineering design, manufacturing, and technical proposal development.
• Analyze project impacts on engineering resources, facilities, staffing, and labor requirements to identify practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Participate in tactical project planning, resource allocation, and execution of assigned engineering project segments.
• Investigate technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to improve system performance and reliability.
• Apply engineering principles, technical standards, and established practices to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, laboratory test records, technical reports, and project support materials.
• Coordinate technical activities across engineering disciplines and support integration of hardware, assemblies, and electronic subsystems.
• Identify opportunities to apply artificial intelligence (AI) and process improvements to enhance engineering efficiency and technical operations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one engineering or technical discipline, with developing working knowledge of adjacent engineering fields.
• Proficient understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and technical standards.
