We''''re looking for an experienced Linux Engineer with deep expertise in IBM LinuxONE and z/Systems environments to take on a long-term role that can be performed remotely.  The project involves the migration, implementation, and configuration of LinuxONE within a sophisticated and complex technical environment for a Fortune 500 client.

Deliverables

  Architect and implement a Linux migration solution for the client’s IBM z/Systems and LinuxONE    environments.

·        Lead and mentor technical teams through design and delivery.

·        Formulate technical strategies and project plans to be presented to business stakeholders               and technical teams.

·       Participate and manage the associated migration and implementation projects, including                   working closely with mixed-shore Development teams.

Required Skills

·       Current hands-on experience deploying and administering Linux on IBM z/Systems and/or             LinuxONE

·       Must have core skills in IBM zSystems hardware, enterprise Linux administration, and cloud             migration strategies.

·          Strong background in leadership roles requiring multi-level business stakeholder and                      technical team collaboration

·          Proven track record in migration architecture and team leadership

·          Solid project management experience in enterprise environments

·          Experience interacting with OEM engineering or product teams

Additional Preferred Skills

Experience with virtualization, containers, or cloud integration related to LinuxONE or mainframe environments is strongly preferred.

•     Relevant certifications in Linux, IBM z/Systems, or related infrastructure technologies are preferred but not required.

•     Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
