Circuit Engineer
Location: Anchorage, Alaska (Remote)
Role Overview
A position is available for a Circuit Engineer to support network redesign and equipment installation projects within a telecommunications environment. This role is responsible for circuit design, provisioning, facility assignments, equipment coordination, and maintaining accurate network records. Working under direct supervision, the Circuit Engineer will collaborate with project management, network design, and engineering teams to ensure circuits are accurately designed, documented, and delivered on schedule. Experience with MetaSolv is preferred.
Key Responsibilities

• Design telecommunications circuits and maintain accurate Circuit Layout Records (CLRs).
• Review service orders and verify equipment and facility availability to meet circuit requirements.
• Support the full circuit delivery lifecycle, including design, provisioning, testing, and implementation.
• Coordinate multiple circuit orders and provide Access Service Request (ASR) requirements for services ranging from DS1 to Ethernet.
• Submit and track Engineering Service Requests (ESRs) and equipment purchase orders.
• Provide project teams with circuit and equipment data from engineering databases.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of circuit records through collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
• Support network redesign and equipment deployment initiatives while meeting committed delivery dates.

Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant telecommunications, circuit engineering, or network engineering experience is required.
Technical Skills: Candidates must have an understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles. Knowledge of telecommunications transmission technologies, including fiber, microwave, radio, satellite, and copper-based networks is necessary. Familiarity with IP Telephony, MPLS, Digital Cross-Connect Systems (DCS), multiplexing technologies, and Ethernet services is also required.
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with circuit provisioning, facility assignments, and telecommunications service delivery.
• Prior experience supporting network redesign or infrastructure deployment projects.
• Experience with MetaSolv is strongly preferred.
• Industry-recognized telecommunications or networking certifications.
