Job Overview
JIE USA Inc is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join the operations team at our North American headquarters. This role is primarily responsible for the accurate management of component stock and finished goods inventory as well as receiving in air and sea shipments. This position will also assist the packaging team and the shipping department in a backup and overflow capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Receiving and quantity verification
- Put-away and completing inventory transfer sheets
- Execute the picking of materials and finished products
- Perform cycle counting and inventory checks
- Operate forklifts and reach trucks
- Maintain and correct bin locations
- Collaborate with supply chain and planning teams to optimize inventory levels and material flow
- Maintain accurate ERP transactions related to inventory movements, adjustments, and cycle counts
Packaging Support
- Package shipments for customer sales order per JIE process and quality standards
- Perform final quality checks on products
- Provide final weights and dimensions for shipping team to schedule shipments
Shipping & Logistics
- Assist with outbound shipping activities, ensuring on-time, accurate delivery to customers
- Coordinate shipments of finished goods originating from both in-house production and stocked inventory
- Work closely with logistics providers to optimize freight costs, transit times, and carrier performance
- Support inbound logistics for products and components received from the parent company in China via sea and air freight, including coordination of receiving, inspection, and put-away activities
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Contribute ideas and collaborate with team members to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse or manufacturing preferred
- Experience utilizing ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Exposure to build-to-order manufacturing and international supply chains strongly preferred
- Forklift certification
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day and safely lift, push or pull up to 50lbs
