Lead Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

Salary up to £75,000 DOE plus up to £5,000 welcome bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon at our growing clinic in the market town of Wymondham.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to grow and develop the practice towards becoming a centre of clinical excellence, where all clinical colleagues are encouraged to utilise their varied skillsets and supported to unlock and develop their own potential.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in surgery, internal medicine and/or ultrasound. However, what is most important to us is finding a strong leader who can engage, encourage and support the team while helping to create direction and drive positive change in our ever-changing industry.

Practice Highlights

The Wymondham branch is a 4 FTE site with a strong and organised nursing team. We offer a variety of GP operations and work closely with Dogs Trust, meaning we see a broad variety of routine and more complex cases. Chapelfield Veterinary Partnership has four other branches, providing plenty of support across the wider team as well as access to an interesting caseload and a broad range of clinical skillsets.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will be the most senior veterinary clinician within the practice, responsible for leading clinical standards, governance and the delivery of outstanding patient and client care.

You’ll provide clinical leadership to the veterinary team, oversee complex cases and act as the primary source of clinical guidance and decision-making within the practice. Working closely with the senior practice leadership team, you’ll support the strategic direction of the practice and drive continuous improvement in clinical quality, outcomes and ways of working.

This is a great opportunity for either an experienced leader who wants to be part of an exciting journey to push the boundaries of a successful GP practice, or an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step into leadership. You’ll be supported by a strong network of Lead Vets and Clinical Directors who can help you develop along this pathway.
