The Role • Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move and stack shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure full functionality and safety. • Coordinate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks. • Maintain a strong adherence to safety protocols and contribute to a secure work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for consideration. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong safety consciousness and a keen eye for detail. • Experience operating heavy equipment or in a logistics/industrial setting is preferred. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
