Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Claude AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Generative AI applications using Microsoft Azure, Anthropic Claude, and modern AI engineering technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering and Python development skills, hands-on experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into production applications, and expertise in building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, AI agents, and scalable API-based services.

The engineer will collaborate with cloud architects, data engineers, application developers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable AI solutions that support enterprise business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-ready Generative AI applications using Python, Microsoft Azure, and Anthropic Claude.

• Integrate Claude models through Microsoft Foundry or other client-approved Azure endpoints using supported SDKs and APIs

• Build LLM-powered applications for intelligent information retrieval, summarization, document analysis, content generation, and workflow automation.

• Develop RAG pipelines to connect LLMs with enterprise documents, knowledge bases, and structured or unstructured data.

• Implement prompt engineering, context management, structured responses, and tool calling to improve model accuracy and consistency.

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.

• Build AI agents and multi-step workflows to support complex business processes.

• Integrate AI applications with enterprise systems, databases, and internal services.

• Implement authentication, authorization, secrets management, and appropriate data protection controls.

• Develop automated testing and evaluation processes to measure response quality, relevance, hallucinations, latency, and reliability.

• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AI applications in Azure-based environments.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines, source control, code reviews, and automated testing for reliable software delivery.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Prepare technical documentation and support production releases, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably with Python.

• Hands-on experience developing applications using Generative AI and Large Language Models.

• Experience integrating Anthropic Claude, Claude APIs, or equivalent enterprise LLM services into applications.

• Strong programming experience in Python and familiarity with libraries used for AI application development.

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs, microservices, and JSON-based integrations.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform.

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases.

• Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, context management, and AI application design.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative software development.

• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or JWT.

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying Claude models through Microsoft Foundry.

• Familiarity with Azure AI Search, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.

• Experience developing agentic AI solutions and integrating external tools with LLMs.

• Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, SQL databases, or equivalent enterprise data technologies.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native application deployment.

• Knowledge of AI observability tools, automated evaluation, model performance monitoring, and cost optimization.

• Experience working in healthcare, pharmacy, insurance, or other regulated enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with healthcare data privacy, HIPAA-related requirements, and secure handling of sensitive information.
