Sapphire Utility Solutions, a Lanes Group Company specialise in multiple divisions.
Yorkshire Water - WWSA provides essential wastewater services to millions of customers and businesses across Yorkshire. From managing sewerage networks to treating wastewater, protecting the environment, and maintaining reservoirs and catchments.

Purpose of the role:

As a HGV Driver, you'll work as part of a two-person team carrying out proactive and reactive wastewater network maintenance. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines HGV driving with operational drainage work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a specialist team.

About the role:

  • Location: Bradford
  • Role type: Permanent
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week
  • Salary: £14.50 - £15.50 per hour dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and operate a City Flex HGV vehicle as part of wastewater maintenance operations.
  • Support high-pressure water jetting activities across the wastewater network.
  • Assist in identifying blockages, leaks, and other drainage issues.
  • Complete digital site documentation and job records using a tablet.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Maintain and care for tools, equipment, vehicles, and PPE.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver work safely and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent Lanes Group professionally at all times.

Key Requirements:

Skills and experience:

  • HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 6 penalty points

Desirable:

  • Previous drainage experience
  • A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Competent in using an electronic device – laptop / tablet for data entry
  • An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained if necessary
