Job Description

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an Infra Delivery Install Technician to build and expand AWS data center capacity. In this on-site role, you will install, rack, and cable servers, switches, and related infrastructure, executing build plans with precision and high ownership. You will run, label, and test fiber and copper cabling, perform hardware swaps and decommissions, and document all work in ticketing and asset systems. Partnering with operations and engineering teams, you will support capacity turns, adhere to strict security and safety standards, and help optimize installation workflows in a fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and cable data center infrastructure hardware for AWS services
  • Perform on-site hardware swaps, upgrades, and decommissions following standard procedures
  • Run, label, and test network and power cabling to meet quality and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure installation issues and coordinate with remote engineering teams
  • Document work performed in ticketing systems and maintain accurate asset records
  • Follow change management, security, and compliance policies in data center environments
  • Collaborate with operations teams to support capacity expansions and new deployments
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on installed equipment
  • Support incident response by providing on-site diagnostics and hands-on remediation
  • Continuously improve installation workflows and contribute to best practices documentation
